I enjoy seeing individuals, a couple, family and even corporations. I see clients from 11 years to adults. My specialties include depression, anxiety, couple conflict, grief and loss, trauma, changes in the life span, addictions and challenges associated with caregiving.
Because each situation is unique, I utilize multiple therapeutic models to address each client’s needs with the end goal of discovering positive alternatives to life’s problems.
Because of my corporate background, I also have experience with executive level therapy for Presidents or CEO’s of companies where conflict has become an obstacle in leadership.
More About Bob
My wife and I have been married over forty years. It’s hard to believe that we’ve shared life for that long! We now have three adult children and several grandchildren.
Along with enjoying family, I also am a vocalist, committed to working out, teaching myself how to cook, and tackling a bucket list of places to travel.
I’ve had a colorful career path, including everything from performing autopsies, to working for a Fortune 100 company and helping start a nutraceutical business. However, becoming a therapist has been the most fulfilling work.
Education, Licensure, Legal Information, and Virtual Therapy
My advanced degree is from the graduate school at the University of Alabama, and my licensure (License number 426) is in the state of Alabama as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I am also certified to provide tele-therapy across Alabama via HIPAA approved confidential platform.
For more information, you may contact the American Association of Marriage and Family therapists at https://www.aamft.org. An overview of your legal rights as a client may be found on my Informed Consent under “Forms.”
Fees and Insurance
Payment for services is due at the end of each session. You may pay by cash, credit card, healthcare savings account or check. Fees may change without notification.
While I do not file insurance, I can provide you with the form that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Because of the numbers of insurance policies, I cannot offer specific information about what your individual policy might reimburse.
